11.3.11 | Women's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – As the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championships are set to get underway in Dayton, Ohio on Thursday at the University of Dayton's Bajuan Field, the conference has released its list of postseason award-winners. Among the names announced was Temple senior Niki Conn, who has been tabbed Second Team All-Conference as a forward.

Joining Conn on the conference's second team as forwards are Dayton's Kelsey Smigel, Massachusetts' Julie Morrissey, and Saint Joseph's Jen Pfeiffer. For the full list of the 2011 award winners, click here.

"We are so proud of Niki's accomplishments this year and for her career,” head coach Matt Gwilliam said. “She's left a mark on this program that will be difficult to match on and off the field."

Playing in 16 games and starting 15, Conn led the Owls in scoring for the fourth straight year, as she gathered 11 points (five goals and one assist) in her final season donning the Cherry and White.

Against George Washington back on Oct. 9, Conn scored Temple's lone goal to give the Owls their first conference win of the season.

Conn moved into a tie for second place all-time at Temple when she scored her 27th career goal at Dayton on Oct. 23. Her 62 career points have her ranked third for most all-time by a Temple women's soccer player.

Her second-team all-conference selection marks the third straight year that she has been recognized by the A-10 with a conference award. In each of the previous two seasons, Conn was given Honorable Mention.
