ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Temple Owls have landed … in New Mexico!
The Temple University football team (8-4 overall, 5-3 MAC) arrived in beautiful Albuquerque on Wednesday afternoon to begin preparations for the 2011 Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
Kickoff against Wyoming (8-4, 5-2 MWC) is Saturday, Dec. 17 at Noon MT (2 p.m. ET) at University Stadium. ESPN will televise the game live in HD.
The Owls left Edberg-Olson Hall early this morning, departing Philadelphia International Airport aboard a chartered 757. Cheesesteaks were a part of the sendoff meal.
Following a four-and-a-half hour flight, Temple landed safely in Albuquerque and headed to its first practice at the University of New Mexico.
The Temple and Wyoming players enjoyed a welcome dinner at the Albuquerque Musuem before heading to their hotel for the night.
