PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University football team opens spring practice on Wednesday, March 23 on Chodoff Field at Edberg-Olson Hall.
The 15 practice sessions over 25 consecutive calendar days will utilize a Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Saturday schedule, running from 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Temple's spring drills conclude with the annual Cherry & White intra-squad scrimmage at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Steve Addazio, this season's squad returns 46 lettermen, including 13 starters.
All practices are open only to Temple football alumni, current high school prospects, and approved high school coaches, provided the individuals register in Edberg-Olson Hall before visiting the field. Practices are closed to the general public.
Temple will open the 2011 season with Villanova in the third annual Mayor's Cup on Thursday, Sept. 1 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Temple football season tickets are on sale now for as low as $15 per game, and can be purchased by calling the Temple Ticket Office at 215-204-8499. Fans are encouraged to visit www.OwlsTix.com for full season ticket pricing information.
