Temple’s Spring Football Game Set for Saturday, April 16
Threats of severe weather in the afternoon prompted the time change.
“We feel the time change was necessary to secure the safety of all involved-- our alumni, fans, and student-athletes,” said Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw. “With the threat of inclement weather, safety is always our first concern. This change would also make it convenient for fans and students to attend the scrimmage.”
With football moving to the morning, the alumni basketball game will now start at 1 p.m. at McGonigle Hall.
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Steve Addazio, this season's squad returns 46 lettermen, including 13 starters. The Cherry & White team rosters will be announced tomorrow.
The Owls open the 2011 season on Thursday, Sept. 1 with Villanova in the third annual Mayor's Cup, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts, at Lincoln Financial Field.

Tailgating: Tailgating will be permitted in Lot #10 [located on Diamond Street between 11th and 12th] throughout the day.
Food will be available for sale on Diamond Street in front of Edberg-Olson Hall. A "Kids' Zone" will also be held on the grounds of the football complex.
