Owls Host Villanova in Opener on Sept. 1
PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University football team took the practice field twice for the first time on Wednesday at Chodoff Field.
The Owls began the day at 6:30 a.m. for the morning session. The day's second session ended at 5:30 p.m., followed by media interviews.

Under the guidance of first-year head coach Steve Addazio, Temple returns 46 lettermen, including 13 starters. The Owls open the 2011 season with cross-city rival Villanova in the third annual Mayor's Cup, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts, at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, Sept. 1. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Temple also hosts Penn State on Sept. 17 at Noon at Lincoln Financial Field. Season tickets for Temple Football are available now for as low as $20 per game by calling the Temple Ticket Sales Office at 215-204-8499 or visit www.OwlsTix.com. Individual game tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
