Lacrosse's Karly Cohen and Alex Shapiro Earn All-America Honorable Mention from the Jewish Sports Review

PHILADELPHIA - Temple lacrosse junior Karly Cohen and senior Alex Shapiro were named honorable mention All-America by the Jewish Sports Review, a bi-monthly magazine based in Los Angeles, Calif. For Shapiro, the honor comes for a second year in a row.
Cohen played in all 17 games with 11 starts for Temple in 2011. She ranked fourth on the team with 19 goals and tied for third on the team with six assists.
Shapiro started in all 16 games she played in her final season at Temple, and anchored the Owls' defense with 21 groundballs to tie for second on the team. She also caused nine turnovers to tie for the team lead.
Both Cohen and Shapiro were named to Temple's Director's Honor Roll for having a GPA above 3.0.
