Owls Host Villanova in Opener on Sept. 1
PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University football team had its second scrimmage on Saturday at the Edberg-Olson Football Complex.

Did you know for an average practice session of training camp, the Owls use a minimum of:
50 rolls of athletic tape
30 cases (720 bottles) of Gatorade
2,200 lbs. of ice
100 gallons of water
12 industrial size loads of laundry (which equals 36 loads in a normal extra large capacity washer)
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Steve Addazio, Temple returns 46 lettermen, including 13 starters. The Owls open the 2011 season with cross-city rival Villanova in the third annual Mayor's Cup, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts, at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, Sept. 1. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Temple also hosts Penn State on Sept. 17 at Noon at Lincoln Financial Field. Season tickets for Temple Football are available now for as low as $20 per game by calling the Temple Ticket Sales Office at 215-204-8499 or visit www.OwlsTix.com. Individual game tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
