PHILADELPHIA –
Temple men's soccer opens a five-game road swing Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. when it heads to Drexel for its first Philadelphia Soccer Six match of the season.

When the Owls take the field, they'll be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Long Island and Stony Brook over the weekend in the Temple/Penn Tournament.

Sophomore Jake Lister was tabbed to the Philadelphia Soccer Six honor roll this week after putting up a goal and an assist against Stony Brook on Sunday evening.

The Owls could be close to getting their leading scorer back in the lineup. Junior Cody Calafiore saw his first action since Sept. 11 at Brown Sunday night when he entered as a substitution late in the second half.

After opening Colonial Athletic Association conference play over the weekend with William & Mary, the Dragons will be taking a respite from conference play when they host the Owls Wednesday night. The Dragons are struggling offensively so far this season, as they've scored just one goal through their first seven games.

Temple is looking to avenge last season's 3-1 loss to the Dragons at the Ambler Sports Complex. In last their last meeting, the Dragons clinched the 2010 Philadelphia Soccer Six title when Andrew Goldberg broke a 1-1 tie in the 66th minute, before Nathan Page capped the win for the dragons in the 82nd minute. All-time, the Owls hold a commanding lead in the head-to-head city rivalry, owning a 26-14-4 record against the Dragons.
