Women's Soccer Receives NSCAA Academic Award

PHILADELPHIA - In just one year under new leadership, improvements continue to be seen for the Temple women's soccer program. Most recently, the Owls were recognized as one of 792 soccer teams (220 men, 572 women) for posting a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2010-11 academic year.
"Receiving the NSCAA Team Academic Award is a fantastic accomplishment for this group in our first year," head coach Matt Gwilliam said. "Our program and our athletic department set a standard to excel athletically, as well as, academically and we will continue to strive towards maintaining this award for the future. A thank you and congratulations to our players and our academic support for making this possible."
