Volleyball Travels to Saint Louis and Butler This Weekend for Two of Final Three Regular-Season Games

PHILADELPHIA - Many of the spots in the six-team Atlantic 10 Volleyball Tournament are still up for grabs, and Temple hopes to continue on its way to securing one of those by having a successful weekend on the road at Saint Louis and Butler. The Owls will face Saint Louis on Friday, Nov. 2 at 8:00 p.m. (EST) and will play Butler at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Temple currently stands in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Atlantic 10 standings. The teams the Owls are tied with happen to be two they suffered losses to, making the final three matches even more important. Six of the 12 conference teams will earn a berth in the tournament, set for Nov. 16-18 at Duquesne.
The Owls have played a number of close matches in the past month, including four that went to five sets. Temple went 2-2 in those matches. Last weekend the Owls lost to VCU but earned a split overall with a sweep of Charlotte; Temple's 11th sweep of the season.
Next weekend, Temple will host La Salle for its final regular season match at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. The Owls will honor three seniors: Caitlin McMillen, Chelsea Tupuola and Jingyu Zhang prior to the match for Senior Day.
