Matt Brown Named National KO Returner of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Temple senior RB Matt Brown (Baltimore, Md.) was named the national Kickoff Returner of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards on Sunday.
At No. 12/10 Louisville, Brown had a 93-yard touchdown on the opening kickoff return for the second KOR touchdown of his career (and his first this season). He previously had a 100-yard touchdown kickoff return against Kent State in 2011. Brown finished the game against the Cardinals with a single-game record 227 kickoff return yards on seven returns.
The honor from CFP is Brown's third this season. He also earned honorable mention All-Purpose Performer accolades on Oct. 28 and Sept. 3.
Temple (3-5, 2-3 BIG EAST) hosts Cincinnati (6-2, 2-1 BIG EAST) on Nov. 10 at Noon at Lincoln Financial Field. The BIG EAST Network will televise the game.
