Pavone Leads Women's XC At NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Temple Women's Cross Country completed the NCAA Mid-Atllantic Regional at Penn State in 23rd place on Friday afternoon. Leading the way for the Owls was Anna Pavone, who finished 68th overall with a time of 22:20. Following her close behind was sophomore Jenna Dubrow, who finished in 74th with her time of 22:24.

When commenting on the team's performance assistant coach Adam Bray announced “This meet was another that allowed us to continue to grow for this season.”

Two Owls completed the race with personal best times.

Senior Diedre MacFarlane crossed the finish line in 24:18, ahead of junior Kelly Broadbent, who had a time of 24:38.

Also finishing for the women were junior Lauren Holguin with a time of 25:05, sophomore Samantha Shepard finishing at 25:43 and senior Rayna Kratchman, who completed the race in 26:19.

Friday's race was the first time in 11 career runs that Dubrow did not come in as Temple's fastest runner, ending her streak at 10.
Temple will now look toward preparing for its next meet which will be at Van Courtland Park in the Bronx, N.Y. for the ECAC Championship.
