PHILADELPHIA – The 17 Temple graduating student-athletes, as well as junior RB Bernard Pierce, were evaluated on Friday during Temple football's annual Pro Timing Day.
Scouts from 31 National Football League teams timed and evaluated the Owls for the upcoming NFL Draft. Philadelphia Eagles' head coach Andy Reid and General ManagerHowie Roseman also made an appearance. The day's activities were covered by 25 credentialed media members.
Temple is in the midst of spring drills. Temple (9-4, 5-3 MAC in 2011) returns 35 letterwinners, including nine starters, for the 2012 season.
The Owls, under second-year head coach Steve Addazio, open the 2011 season with Villanova in the fourth annual Mayor's Cup on Friday, August 31 at Lincoln Financial Field.
