Prezioso Named Atlantic 10 Softball Co-Player of the Week

Sophomore short stop earns award for first time in career
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Temple's Sarah Prezioso (Bloomfield, N.J./Bloomfield) was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Softball Co-Player of the Week, sharing the award with Massachusetts' Cyndil Matthew, the league office announced on Monday. It is the first honor of Prezioso's career.
The shortstop batted .467 (7-for-15) with two home runs, a triple, eight RBI and three runs scored in a 3-1 week for the Owls. She recorded two games with multiple runs batted in, including a four RBI performance in an 8-0 win over Delaware.
Prezioso was also named the OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Under Armour, for her performance.
Temple is 10-9 on the year and will host Iona for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21.
