Owls will face #18 Towson at home at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Temple's Charlotte Swavola has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played between March 12-18, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Jess Hicks from George Washington earned A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Duquesne's Amanda Kidder was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week.

Swavola, a junior midfielder out of Cheltenham, Pa., helped lead Temple to an 11-9, come-from-behind win against Delaware on March 17. She scored three goals to notch her second hat trick of the season, and also recorded an assist. Swavola scored the first and third goals of a 4-0 run early in the second half that helped the Owls tie the game and take the lead after trailing 7-4. She tied for the most ground balls in the game with three and also recorded two draw controls.

The Owls are back in action at home this afternoon, taking on #18 Towson at 3:00 p.m. at Geasey Field.
