Sarah Prezioso Named Atlantic 10 Softball Player of the Week

Sophomore shortstop picks up honor for second-straight week
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the second week in a row, Temple's Sarah Prezioso (Bloomfield, N.J./Bloomfield) was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Also honored were Fordham's Jen Mineau and Paige Ortiz, as Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Prezioso hit .615 (8-for-13) for the week with seven runs batted in and five runs scored. The shortstop went 6-for-9 at the plate with all seven of her RBI and four runs scored in a 2-0 Temple showing against conference foe Charlotte in the opening weekend of A-10 play. The sophomore is currently riding a 13-game hit streak.
Temple is 12-11, 2-0 A-10 on the year and will host Wagner for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27.
