Schoell fifth in the nation in sacrifice hits per game; Pasquale seventh toughest to strike out

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Senior Samantha Schoell and sophomore Stephanie Pasquale are both currently in the top-10 of two national statistics categories.

For the third year in a row, Schoell is leading the team in sacrifice hits, collecting nine already this season. At 0.41 sacrifices per game, the team captain ranks fifth in the country with that average.

Pasquale, who finished last season as the 10th toughest player to strikeout with just five in 135 at bats, is currently the seventh most challenging to get the ball by. The clean up hitter has struck out just once this season in 66 at bats.

Temple is 12-11 overall and 2-0 in A-10 play. In its next action, the squad hosts Wagner for a non-conference doubleheader at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27.
