Forecasted Inclement Weather Moves Softball Games With La Salle To Friday Doubleheader

"Pink Out" game, scheduled for March 31, moved to April 6 vs. George Washington
PHILADELPHIA – With temperatures expected to be in the 30's and the threat of rain moving in to the Philadelphia area on Saturday, the Temple softball games at Ambler Field against Atlantic 10 rival La Salle, originally scheduled as two single games on Friday and Saturday, have been changed to a doubleheader to be played on Friday. The first game will begin at 3 p.m., with the nightcap following at approximately 5 p.m.
The Owls (14-11, 2-0 A-10) had originally planned to host a “Pink Out” game on Saturday, which will now take place next Friday, April 6 in a single game against A-10 foe George Washington.
The game is intended to help raise awareness for breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to demonstrate support by wearing pink. The team will be wearing pink belts and socks in honor of the event. Baked goods will be sold and donations will be accepted. All sales and fan donations will go directly toward the Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Philadelphia to support research, awareness and treatment for women in the Philadelphia region. Entry to the game is free but donations to the cause are encouraged.
