Owls now ranked #21/24 by Associated Press/ESPN USA Today

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's basketball team remained in the national polls this week, moving up two spots in the Associated Press Poll to #21 and one slot in the by ESPN/USA Today poll to #24.  The Owls finished the regular season 24-6, winning their first outright A10 regular season title since 1989-90 with a 13-3 league mark.

It is the third straight week that Temple has been nationally ranked and the 24th week over the last three seasons that the Owls have appeared in the Top 25 polls.  It is also the third time in program history that the Owls have been in the Top 25 in three consecutive seasons.  The other two streaks were five seasons each (1986-87 thru 1990-81; 1997-98 thru 2000-01).

Temple, the #1 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, next plays in the A10 Quarterfinals Friday (Noon/Comcast SportsNet/610 AM WIP) against the winner of Tuesday's game between #9 Duquesne at #8 Massachusetts.
