Temple Athletics Television Series Renewed for Three Seasons

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University Athletics and 20/20 Visual Media, LLC have agreed to terms on a three-year contract to continue production of its popular behind-the-scenes television series for football and basketball. The shows will continue to air on Comcast SportsNet, while also air on TUTV and Owlsports.com.
Temple TUFF: Behind the Scenes with Temple Football and Temple Basketball: Above the Rim are award-winning (College Sports Media Award – “Best Program – Series” for Above the Rim) all-access programs that take viewers to places they cannot normally go: onto the practice field, into the film room and into the locker room, giving the viewers a firsthand look at what makes Temple's athletes and coaches tick.
The series' format will expand from 12 to 22 episodes per year, with 12 programs devoted to covering Temple's BIG EAST football team. The remaining 10 programs will go behind the scenes of the men's and women's basketball programs, who will compete in their final season in the Atlantic 10 Conference, before making the move to the BIG EAST in 2013-14.
“We are excited to not only renew our contract with 20/20 Visual Media, but to expand the number of shows we deliver to our Temple fanbase,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications Larry Dougherty. “We received an incredible amount of positive feedback regarding last year's. It is no wonder why 2020 Visual Media won a SVG Award for its high-quality work.”
The series is produced by 20/20 Visual Media, LLC, a production company formed by two Temple alumni, Robert Czyzewicz ('10) and Patrick Rosenbaum ('11). The company's passion for Temple University and its athletic department is what Rosenbaum, co-owner and Executive Producer, says excites him most about renewing the programs.
“Temple is such a great outlet for a television show”, said Rosenbaum. “The sports here are great, and we think Philadelphia fans are ready to embrace Temple as one of the teams they are passionate about. We're here to help them see why the Owls are so important to Philadelphia sports”.
In addition to the television series, 20/20 Visual Media will produce six webisodes per year that will air exclusively on Temple's Athletics website, Owlsports.com.
Season Two of Temple TUFF: Behind the Scenes with Temple Football premieres on August 30 at 6:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet, just one day before the Owls open their season against city rival Villanova in the fourth annual Mayor's Cup game at Lincoln Financial Field.
