Marc Zumoff to Serve as Narrator of Temple Athletics Television Series

Temple alum and longtime Comcast SportsNet play-by-play announcer agrees to three-year contract
PHILADELPHIA –Temple University Athletics and 20/20Visual Media have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with Comcast SportsNet's longtime Philadelphia 76ers play-by-play announcer Marc Zumoff to serve as the narrator for its all-access television series on Temple football and basketball beginning with the 2012-13 season.
The producers of Temple TUFF: Behind the Scenes with Temple Football and Temple Basketball: Above the Rim welcome Zumoff as its new voice. Zumoff is a Temple alum, a 35-year media professional, and has won multiple Emmy Awards for his work on Comcast SportsNet as the voice of the 76ers. He will add instant recognition to an already award-winning program (College Sports Media Awards, “Best Program – Series” for Above the Rim).
"I've achieved a dream of broadcasting the 76ers, the team I grew up rooting for”, said Zumoff. “Now, I have the privilege of being the voice of my alma mater's award-winning show. I'm looking forward to working with 20/20 Visual Media in this exciting project."
It's Zumoff's vocal energy and enthusiasm that has the show's writer, Robert Czyzewicz, so excited to begin this season of programs.
“I am so excited to have Marc on board for the series”, said Czyzewicz, a co-owner of 20/20 Visual Media and Executive Producer of the programs. “I learned a lot of what I know about basketball from watching his broadcasts as a kid; and now as a writer, there is honestly nothing more exciting to me than the thought of Marc Zumoff bringing life to my words”.
“Marc Zumoff is one of the most recognizable voices in the Philadelphia area, and the fact that he is 'Temple Made' is an added bonus,” said Temple University Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications Larry Dougherty. “He clearly adds value to an award-winning program.”
Season Two of Temple TUFF premieres on August 30th at 6:30p.m. on Comcast SportsNet, just one day before Temple begins its 2012 season against city rival Villanova in the fourth annual Mayor's Cup game at Lincoln Financial Field.
