Women's Tennis Sends Four to Saint Joseph's Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – Four Temple women's tennis players head to the Saint Joseph's Invitational this weekend. The tournament gets underway Friday morning on the courts of the SJU Tennis Complex at the Maguire Campus and on Finnesey Courts. A total of nine teams will be represented at the event, which features four flights of singles and two flights of doubles play.
Action begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning with the first singles play. Doubles play gets underway at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon. Play will continue on Saturday with the finals of each flight to take place on Sunday.
Temple will be represented by Rebecca Breland, Carly Bohman, Cristina Grimaldi and Maame Ama Osei. Osei will play singles out of flight one and Breland flight two, while the duo teams up for flight one doubles action. Bohman is active in singles flight three and Grimaldi vies for a title at singles flight four, and the two pair up to compete in the second flight of doubles.
The tournament will run from Friday through Sunday and, in addition to Temple, features teams from Bucknell, Delaware, Drexel, Lafayette, Pittsburgh, Saint Francis (PA) and Villanova, as well as the host Hawks.

8:30 a.m. – Maame Ama Osei vs. Danea Jonjic (Delaware)
