BIG EAST Announces Revised 2013 Football Opponents

Owls to Host UCF, UConn, Houston & Louisville
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Conference announced its revised 2013 football opponents and game sites on Friday.
Entering its 16th season overall and second consecutive in league play, Temple will host Central Florida, Connecticut, Houston, and defending conference champion Louisville in home games at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Owls will travel to Cincinnati, Memphis, Rutgers, and Southern Methodist.
The 2013 season will mark the first year of BIG EAST competition for UCF, Houston, Memphis, and SMU.
The BIG EAST will announce the complete 2013 schedule at a later date.
In non-conference play, Temple opens the 2013 season at Notre Dame on August 31. The Owls host Fordham (Sept. 14) and Army (Oct. 19) at home, while visiting Idaho (Sept. 28).
The Owls begin spring practice on March 22 in preparation for BIG EAST Conference play in 2013. The squad's annual Cherry & White spring game is slated for Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. at Edberg-Olson Hall. Temple returns 46 letterwinners and 15 starters, including Freshman All-American and BIG EAST Rookie of the Year Tyler Matakevich.

Season tickets include discounted seats for all six home games, priority access to purchase tickets for the August 31 match-up at Notre Dame, and additional savings for season tickets in 2014.
