Men's Cross Country Finishes 26th at the Paul Short Invitational
10.5.13 | Men's Cross Country
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Senior Will Kellar finished 35th overall in a time of 26:08 to lead Temple's men's cross country team to a 26th-place finish at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday afternoon.
Temple's next-highest finisher was sophomore Alex Izewski who ran a time of 27:11 to finish 114th. Sophomore William Maltin was not far behind, with a time of 27:36 to place 155th.
"It was a disappointing meet for the men," said assistant coach James Snyder. "We didn't execute the way we needed to. We needed to get out faster. This was a race we'll look to learn from moving forward and into our next meet at Lafayette. We need to pur ourselves in competitive situations and stay focused. I think we got a little timid out there in a large field, and we just didn't show up today."
