PHILADELPHIA (11/19/13) – The Temple University Football team will celebrate their Class of 2014 Seniors at this Saturday's game vs. Connecticut at Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm. In addition to having the seniors take part in pregame ceremonies with their parents, Temple will surround this week's game with other events.
On Thursday, November 21, the Temple spirit squad will be popping up in Center City, as members of the Diamond Marching Band, Cheerleading team and Diamond Gems Dance Team will converge on Washington Square from 12:15-12:45 p.m. The marching band will provide unsuspecting fans with lunch time music, while the spirit squad leads fans in cheer and chants. Some lucky bystanders will win prizes and Temple swag.
On Saturday, Fans who bring canned food items with them to the Lincoln Financial Field Box Office can receive discounted tickets to the game. Items will be donated to Philabundance in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Following the game, the ever-popular Parent-Child Touchdown Toss will take place. Kids 14 and under can score a touchdown on the field after the game under the lights!
