PHILADELPHIA - For the final two matches of the 2013 season, Temple volleyball will host USF on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m., and UCF on Friday, Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m. The Owls will recognize International Student Night on Wednesday, while Friday's match is Senior Night.

Temple will honor its three seniors on Friday as well as a few members of its support staff. Elyse Burkert, Emily Carlin and Gabriella Matautia will be playing in the final match of their careers for the Owls. Also being recognized are senior manager Matthew Gentile, senior and Student Director of Operations Meghan Pierson, and Student Assistant Coach Chelsea Tupuola.

Back by popular demand on Friday will be assistant track and field coach Shameka Marshall singing the national anthem, and this time she will be joined by members of her family.

At both of this week's volleyball matches, Temple students who have not yet picked up tickets for the men's basketball games against Saint Joseph's (Dec. 4/Liacouras Center) and Texas (Dec. 7/Wells Fargo Center) will be able to do so by swiping their Temple ID.

Coming off a sweep of UConn for the second time this season, Temple looks to close out strong in its final two matches of the year. The Owls are looking for retribution against their two opponents this week, after losing in straight sets to both USF and UCF on the road in late October. Those losses snapped what had been a five-match win streak for Temple.

Temple is 18-10 overall, just one win shy of its total from last year which was the most wins for the program since 2005. In the American Athletic Conference, the Owls are 9-7 and stand in sixth place. USF is 16-14 overall and UCF is 19-10. Both teams are 10-6 in league play and tied for third place in the standings.

There will be live stats available for both matches through the link above. There will be no webcasts for the two matches due to the holiday break.
