Men's and Women's Soccer Earn Academic Awards

PHILADELPHIA – Both the women's and men's soccer teams earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year. The NSCAA Team Academic Awards were given to collegiate soccer teams who posted a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
A total of 869 soccer teams from Division I, II, and III earned the academic awards. Temple was one of 189 schools that had both men's and women's programs recognized. The men's team posted a GPA of 3.14 while the women's team had a GPA of 3.30.
This marks the ninth time the women's program has received the award since 1999.
