Temple Leads All Local Schools with Five Players on Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All Area Football Team

Temple University had five players named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All Area Football Team, leading all local schools. Overall, 24 student-athletes made the team, voted on by the sports information offices of the 29 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The 2013 Academic All-Area football team includes players from seven different schools. Temple led all schools with five team members on the All-Area squad, including Ryan Alderman, John Christopher, Rob Dvoracek, Kyle Friend and Anthony Robey.
There are also five repeat selections from a year ago. The five repeat selections from the 2012 All-Area Team are Temple's Ryan Alderman, Penn's Chris Bush and Sebastian Jaskowski, West Chester's Trey Farmer, and Villanova's Bill Vogel.
