Shauni Kerkhoff Named to Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Soccer Team

PHILADELPHIA – Temple sophomore goalkeeper Shauni Kerkhoff has been selected to the 2013 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Soccer Team.  Kerkhoff is one of 11 student-athletes named to the team as voted by the sports information offices at the 28 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Kerkhoff had a 4.0 GPA in her freshman year.  This season in net for the Owls she played every single minute in net, recording six total shutouts and leading the team to the best start in program history (4-0).  She had a saves percentage of 0.785 with 95 saves and a goals allowed average of 0.91.
