Women's Tennis Snaps Losing Streak With 7-0 Win at St. Bonaventure

OLEAN, N.Y. – After a challenging stretch of matches, the Temple women's tennis team got back on the winning side with a 7-0 victory at St. Bonaventure on Sunday, February 24. The Owls improve to 2-7 on the year.
Jordan Batey and Alicia Doms got the match started on a strong note, winning 8-0 at second doubles. Yana Mavrina and Rebecca Breland secured the point with an 8-3 decision at the first flight.
It was all Temple in singles play as well. The Owls earned two more points by way of default at the fifth and sixth flights. Batey kept the shutout intact, and ensured the win, with a straight-set 6-0, 6-0 decision at flight three to make it 4-0. The final three Owls' participating also earned victories to come away with the 7-0 win.
Temple (2-7) heads to Lehigh for a 2 p.m. match on March 3.
