AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Col.— Continuing its spring break agenda, Temple Men's Gymnastics competed in its second of three meets in eight days on Thursday night at Air Force Academy, where it was outdone, 425.450-398.500. For the Owls, it was not their prettiest meet, as they counted a total of 21 falls in the six events to Air Force's two.

Senior Alex Tighe had Temple's highlight performance of the night on the horizontal bar, on which he earned a score of 14.150 to claim a share of the event title with Air Force's Nick Gaudlip, who also won individual titles on pommel and parallel bars.

The Falcons won all six team events on the night. Temple's best collective effort came at the start of the competition, where it began on floor. Senior Allan Malone carried the Owls to their highest score in an event on the night (70.400) with his performance that earned him a 14.7. John Leonard and Brett Statman came second and third in the Owls' lineup with scores of 14.350 and 14.3, respectively.

Graduate student captain Taylor Brana helped the Owls pull their second best team score of the night when his team went to still rings. Brana posted a 14.700 after leading Temple on parallel bars (14.450) and on pommel horse (13.950).

As a team, the Owls claimed a rings score of 70.1. Senior Assaf Zoor's routine was solid enough to earn a score inside 14, as he was given a 13.950.

On a night where there a gymnast was not performing as an all-arounder, freshman John Rydzefski competed on four of the six apparatuses. Rydzefski's top performance came in the team's fifth event of the night, where he scored a 14.00 on parallel bars, which was ranked second on the team to Brana.

Junior John Leonard provided Temple's top vault score. Leonard's attempt earned him a 14.600, which was slightly ahead of senior Evan Burke's 14.450. Statman was a close third place on the team with his 14.400 on the apparatus.

From here Temple will wrap up its spring break tour with a visit to its ECAC rival, University of Illinois-Chicago for a dual meet on Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
