Two Softball Players Still Ranked in Top-25 of National Statistics Categories

PHILADELPHIA – Two Temple softball players sit in the top-25 of three different categories of the national statistics, released on Monday, March 18. Senior Gina Sciarrone (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) is present in one category, while junior Stephanie Pasquale (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) ranks on two lists.
In second place a week ago in a painful category, Sciarrone now holds the top spot for hit by pitch per game. Through 16 games played, the first baseman has been hit 10 times.
Pasquale is present in the doubles per game and toughest to strikeout categories. In 19 games, Pasquale has clubbed eight doubles, which ranks as the 21st best per game total in the country. For the third year in a row, she is proving patient at the plate, striking out just once so far this season for the 10th best mark.
Temple is 6-13 after opening the season at four-straight tournaments. The squad heads into doubleheader play with a pair of games at Iona on Wednesday, March 20 at 2:30 p.m.
