3.27.13 | Softball

PHILADELPHIA Two Temple softball players sit in the top-10 of three different categories of the national statistics, released on Monday, March 25. Senior Gina Sciarrone (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) is present in one category, while junior Stephanie Pasquale (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) ranks on two lists.

For the second week in a row, Sciarrone holds the top spot for hit by pitch per game. Through 18 games played, the first baseman has been hit 10 times.

Pasquale is present in the top-10 of the doubles per game and toughest to strikeout categories. In 23 games, Pasquale has clubbed 10 doubles, which ranks as the 10th best per game total in the country. And, for the third year in a row, she is proving patient at the plate, striking out just once so far this season for the 4th best mark.

Temple is 9-14 overall, 1-1 in the Atlantic 10. The squad hosts Charlotte for a pair of single games on Thursday and Friday, March 28-29, both beginning at 3 p.m.
