Women's T&F Continue Competition At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA— The Temple women's track and field squad wrapped up competition in the 119th Penn Relays on Friday. A day after Kiersten LaRoche took the title in the long jump, the Owls' 4x200 meter relay team finished 27th overall, but turned in its fastest time in the event since 1990. Crystal Hercules, Isatta Kenneh, Gennie Depass and Demeshia Davis combined for a time of 1:39.71.
Freshman Jamila Janneh opened the day for Temple in the triple jump with a mark of 11.27 meters to take 22nd.
Temple's women's side will now set its sights on next week's Atlantic 10 Championships. The Owls will make their final bid at an A-10 title next Friday and Saturday (May 4-5) at UNC Charlotte.
