Lacrosse Senior Stephany Parcell Named to IWLCA All-Region Second Team

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Temple lacrosse senior Stephany Parcell, already a 2013 Atlantic 10 First Team selection, has now been honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) with recognition to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team. Thirty-two total student-athletes were named to the first and second teams in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while 128 were recognized overall.
These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on May 17. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on May 25, 2013 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.
In addition to earning Atlantic 10 First Team honors, Parcell was also named to the A-10 All-Academic Team and the A-10 All-Championship Team. She started in all 17 games, leading the team with 40 goals and 18 assists for 58 points. Parcell finished her career ranked fourth all-time at Temple with 111 draw controls, and tied for 10th all-time at Temple in a single season with 40 draw controls in 2013.
Parcell scored in all but one game this year for the Owls. She scored five goals and added an assist in a win at Duquesne, including the game-winner, and scored four goals at Delaware and vs. Richmond. She added three assists in the Delaware game for a career-high seven points in a single game.
