Temple Football Practice News & Notes - Saturday, August 10

At this afternoon's practice, Stella, a three-and-a-half-year old, great horned owl from the Elmwood Park Zoo, stopped by to greet the Temple Owls Football team. This season, she is expected to grace the sidelines during Owls' games at Lincoln Financial Field.

Aside from Stella, nearly 300 season ticket holders attended the afternoon session to watch practice, meet the coaches and players, and enjoy a cookout.

The morning practice was attended by a few former Owls, most notably Paul Palmer (1983-86). Palmer was recently hired as the color analyst fr Temple Football Radio.
