Martin-Oguike Earns Weekly Honors

PHILADELPHIA – DL Praise Martin-Oguike's performance during Saturday's 20-10 victory over East Carolina has earned him numerous honors this week.
Martin-Oguike was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week after he collected 3.5 TFLS, 1.5 quarterback sacks, three forced fumbles, and one blocked field goal attempt during the game. Martin-Oguike was also named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week and received a helmet sticker from ESPN College GameDay. He was also named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week for his performance.
LB Tyler Matakevich also received AAC Honorable Mention Player of the Week after he had 16 tackles in the victory, which tied a school record, as well as two pass break ups and a fumble recovery.
Temple will be back in action on November 7 for a Friday night matchup with the Memphis Tigers. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU with a kickoff time of 7:30 p.m.
