Football Announces 2014 Opponents

PHILADELPHIA (2.12.14) – Temple University Football today announced its home and away opponents for the 2014 season. The Owls will play 12 regular season games. Dates and times for the complete schedule are still to be determined.
The non-conference schedule includes the season opener at Vanderbilt on August 28 and a trip to Happy Valley to play Penn State (on November 15). The non-conference home games include the Lincoln Financial Field home opener against Navy on September 6 and Temple's first-ever game against Delaware State on September 20.
Temple will host Cincinnati, East Carolina, Memphis and Tulsa. The American Athletic Conference will take the Owls to Central Florida, Connecticut, Houston, and Tulane.
Earlier today, the American Athletic Conference announced its regular season match-ups. The 2014 conference schedule will produce 44 regular-season games, with each of The American's 11 teams playing eight intraconference contests. The 2014 season will mark the first year of American Athletic Conference competition for East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa.
