Men's Gymnastics Drops Meet at Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Men's gymnastics was defeated by Army 423.75-408.80 in a dual meet on Friday night.
The meet started on floor where Temple earned a team score of 69.3. Brendan Williams (14.25) and Blaise Cosenza (14.3) both finished above scores of 14.
Temple then moved to the pommel horse, earning a 67.0. Mike Bittner got the top score for Temple with a 14.15. Evan Eigner then led Temple in the event he specializes in, the rings, with a score of 14.55.
The fourth event for Temple was vault, where the Owls received their second highest event score of the meet with a 69.25. Casey Polizzotto tied his season high of 14.35, which was set in the previous meet at home two weeks ago.
Temple finished the meet with parallel bars and high bar. The Owls received a 66.05 on parallel bars and 68.15 on high bar to end the meet.
Jakob Welsh and Jon Rydzefski were the only two Owls who performed on all six events for all-around. Welsh finished with a score of 81.95 while Rydzefski scored 80.95.
The Owls return to action next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Navy, whom they faced in the second meet of the season at the Navy Open.
