Men's Gymnastics Loses Dual Meet at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Temple men's gymnastics fell to Navy 411.4-400.4 on Saturday evening.
Temple topped Navy in the high bar and rings in the meet. Evan Eigner earned a 15, only .05 from his season high, to lead the Owls to a 68.85 on the event. The Owls earned a team score of 66.4 on the high bar. Jon Rydzefski scored a 14.15 for the highest score of both teams on the event.
Temple's first two events for the dual meet came on floor (66.1) and pommel horse (62.75). Jon Rydzefski had the highest score on floor for the Owls with a 14. Brendan Williams (13.8) had the top score on pommel horse.
The Owls had two gymnasts perform routines earning them above 14 on vault for a team score of 68.3. Casey Polizzotto had the second best score of both teams with a 14.25 while Rydzefski had a 14. Rydzefski had the top score for Temple again on parallel bars with a 13.9.
Jakob Welsh and Rydzefski placed second and third out of four in the all-around. Welsh had a combined score of 80.1 while Rydzefski had 82.2.
The Owls will head to Williamsburg, Md. for a meet tomorrow against William and Mary and Army at 1:00 p.m.
