PHILADELPHIA - For the fourth time this season, the Philadelphia Big 5 honored Temple senior guard Dalton Pepper as the Big 5 Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Pepper averaged 23 points, seven rebounds, and two assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Owls. For his efforts, Pepper was also named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week.

Pepper netted a game-high 26 points, grabbed six boards, and handed our four assists in an overtime victory versus UCF on Senior Day. Six of his points came in the overtime period to help Temple seal the win. Later in the week at USF, he scored 15 of his game-high 20 points in the final eight minutes to help the Owls stage an incredible comeback and win by one point. He also had a game-best eight rebounds.

The USF contest marked Pepper's 12th 20+ point performance of the season. He leads the team and ranks third in the American Athletic Conference with 17.6 scoring average.

The Owls are traveling to Memphis for the American Championships, set for March 12-15 at the FedEx Forum. Eighth-seeded Temple will face ninth-seeded UCF in the first round on Wednesday, March 12 at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
