At noon today, more than 40 Temple Football players traded in their football cleats for high heeled shoes as Temple University supported the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes organization. They were joined by Owls head coach Matt Rhule and nearly 200 other male students.

This is the third year that Temple hosted a walk and the support has grown from 100 participants in 2012, to 140 in 2013, to over 240 this year. In addition, there were over 200 female volunteers.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is the international men's march to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. The men who walked today displayed their commitment to take action and promote an end to violence on Temple's campus.
