Women's Soccer Players Kerkhoff and Farrell Named to American Preseason Teams by College Sports Madness

College Sports Madness American Preseason Women's Soccer Teams

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer goalkeeper Shauni Kerkhoff and forward Kelly Farrell were named the Preseason American Athletic Conference Team by College Sports Madness. Kerkhoff was selected to the first team while Farrell was chosen on second team.

Kerkhoff played every single minute in net for the Owls last season. The junior made 95 saves for a save percentage of .785. She had seven shutouts on the season with a 1.34 goals allowed average. In just two seasons she has the seventh most saves in program history (158) and ranks first in save percentage (.823) and in goals against average (1.14).

Farrell tied for the team lead in points last season with seven off two goals and three assists. The junior made 14 starts while appearing in all 19 games for her first season at Temple after transferring from Old Dominion.
