Women's Soccer Players Shauni Kerkhoff and Kelly Farrell Named to Conference Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Temple women's soccer player Shauni Kerkhoff and Kelly Farrell were named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll after their performances this weekend. Temple now sits unbeaten at 7-0 for the longest winning streak in program history with their 1-0 win vs. St. Bonaventure last Friday and a 2-1 double overtime win at Cornell Sunday in the championship game of the Cornell Classic.

Kerkhoff recorded her fourth shutout of the season against St. Bonaventure and recorded three saves in the win. She then went on to compile four saves in a 2-1 double overtime victory over host Cornell on Sunday to earn a place on the All-Tournament team.

Kerkhoff for the season currently holds an outstanding .912 save percentage, 31 saves, four shutouts and a 0.42 goals against average.

Farrell scored both goals in the win over Cornell Sunday. The forward scored a goal both in regulation and overtime in the tournament championship game victory. She also garnered a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Farrell currently leads the team in points (9), shots (18), and tied for the lead in goals (4).

The Owls will be back in action next Friday, Sept. 19 when they travel to Delaware for 7:00 p.m. game.
