PHILADELPHIA
- Temple volleyball will look for its first American Athletic Conference victory this Sunday when the Owls travel to East Carolina for a 1:00 p.m. match. Links to live video and live stats can be found above.

Temple is coming off a 3-0 loss in its first conference match of the season at UConn on Wednesday. The Owls completed the non-conference season with a record of 9-3, finishing with a 3-0 weekend which saw them sweep all three of their opponents at the Big 5 Tournament on Sept. 19-20. Temple won three of the four tournaments it competed in this season, taking team titles at the Syracuse Invitational, its own Temple Invitational, and the Big 5 Tournament hosted by Penn.

Junior setter Sandra Sydlik was named the Big 5 Tournament MVP, and was also named to the American Weekly Honor Roll along with earning Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week recognition. Sydlik was joined on the Big 5 All-Tournament Team by sophomore middle blocker Kirsten Overton, who leads all players in the American with a hitting percentage of .433 which also ranks 14th in the nation.

ECU went 6-2 in non-conference play, which included a team title at its own ECU Invitational. The Pirates will play UConn on Friday night before facing Temple on Sunday. Temple and ECU will be meeting for the first time in program history this weekend.
