Football's Ioannidis Named to American Athletic Conference Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Senior defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for week six of the 2015 season, after leading the 5-0 Owls to a 49-10 win over Tulane on Homecoming.

Ioannidis collected six tackles, second best on the team, and tied a career high with 1.5 sacks in the victory. The lineman is one of the leaders of a vaunted defensive line for Temple, which limited Tulane to just eight yards rushing, eight first downs, and 110 total yards from scrimmage on Saturday. Iaonnidis is the fifth Owl to receive an individual award from the American in 2015.

Ioannidis and the Owls will host the UCF Knights in a prime-time conference showdown at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday. The CBS Sports Network game will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through owlstix.com or by calling 215-204-8499.
