Temple-Notre Dame Is Sold Out

10.13.15 | Football

PHILADELPHIA – Demand for Temple Football tickets is at an all-time high which is evidenced by the announcement that the Owls' October 31st game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is sold out.

"The energy and buzz surrounding our football program has never been greater," said Temple University Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft. "It has been a special year for our entire University, and we are looking forward to an exciting event on Halloween for our fans and the city of Philadelphia."

This marks the first time Temple has sold out two home football games in a single season since moving to the South Philadelphia sports complex in 1976. Temple's season opener against Penn State was also a sellout.

The October 31st football game between the Temple Owls and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is the first ever meeting between the two teams in Philadelphia. Kickoff for the game remains undetermined and may not be set until the Sunday (Oct. 25) before the contest.

Temple is off to its best start (5-0) since the 1974 season and is on the cusp of the program's first national ranking since the 1979 campaign.  Notre Dame (5-1) is ranked 14th in the Associated Press poll and 13th in the Coaches' Poll.

Tickets are available for Temple's game this Saturday against divisional rival UCF. Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field will be 7:30 p.m. Call the Temple Ticket Sales Office at 215-204-8499 or visit owlstix.com for more information.
