Women's Soccer Faces Last Road Match Against Memphis

PHILADELPHIA - To wrap up the 2015 road schedule, the Temple women's soccer team will head to Tennesee to take on the Memphis Tigers in a Sunday afternoon matchup. Kickoff from the Mike Rose Soccer Complex is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT.
Temple added another lost to their conference total after they fell to Tulsa on Thursday, 1-2. The Owls took the lead in the 19th minute of the game, when sophomore Gabriella McKeown passed a ball to sophomore Elana Falcone, who then beat a defender down the field and knocked the ball into the net from 12 yards out.
Temple held their 1-0 lead well into the second half, until Tulsa's Rachel Thun evened up the score in the 85th minute off a free kick. Thun then tapped in the game-winning goal in the 87th minute off an assist from Roman Edwards.
Freshman goalkeeper Jordan Nash ranks fourth in the conference in with 55 saves, .876 save percentage, and 11 goals against her for a 0.88 goals against average. With only 14 goals scored against them this year, the Owls are on track to allow the least amount of goals scored in a season (record is 22 set back in 1995).
Temple currently leads the conference in goals scored (34), score average (2.13) and are second in points (87).

Memphis enters the last week of the regular season with a 7-5-3 record, going 2-2-2 in conference play.
In their last game out, the Tigers were shut-out by visiting #15 UConn, 1-0. The Tigers and Huskies were pretty even on the field, with UConn only outshooting Memphis 16-12. Each team had four shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Maryse Bard-Martel currently ranks fourth in the American Athletic Conference in shutouts, recording six on the season.
Memphis ranks fourth in the conference with assists (20). Senior Elysia Masters currently leads the team and is tied for sixth in the conference with four assists.
SERIES HISTORY...
In only two games played between the programs, Memphis owns a 1-0-1 lead over Temple. In 2014, the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.
