Jahad Thomas and Sean Chandler Make American Athletic Conference Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – For the third time this season, two Owls have earned American Athletic Conference Honors following a victory. Junior running back Jahad Thomas and sophomore defensive back Sean Chandler were both named to the conference's honor roll for their play in the Owls 30-16 win over UCF on Saturday night. Thomas set career highs with 31 carries, 199 yards, and three touchdowns. This is the third week this season he's made the American Honor Roll. Chandler joins him after a third-quarter interception thwarted a Knights scoring drive and a 65-yard punt return to set up Thomas' go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Chandler is part of the American's top-rated defense in five different categories, including scoring and pass efficiency. The team is currently ranked 22nd in the AP and 24th in the Amway Coaches Poll.
Temple travels to East Carolina for a key East Division match-up on Thursday night. The Owls and Pirates kick-off at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
