Asci Named American Offensive Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Temple sophomore Irem Asci was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of regular-season conference awards. 

Asci led Temple's attack in a 3-0 sweep of ECU, as the Owls closed the season with a seven-match win streak. The sophomore hit a massive .524 from the outside, racking up 13 kills with just two errors. Asci also added seven digs in the match to pace Temple. 

For the season, Asci ranked among the conference leaders in kills per set (3.33, 6th) and points per set (3.69, 6th), leading the Owls in both categories. Temple finished the year in second place in the conference standings with a 15-5 record, while compiling an overall mark of 24-8.
